Sharing resort tours with all of you is a bittersweet moment for me because I know it will be the last time I’ll be talking about it, at least for a while. We fell in love with Stoweflake Mountain Resort and the beautiful town of Stowe, VT, and it was so sad to say goodbye. Thanks again Stoweflake for hosting our stay. We hope you enjoy this review. Stoweflake Mountain Resort is in the gorgeous town of Stowe, VT, and our autumn visit was surrounded by breathtaking views. From the moment we pulled in, we were awestruck by the beautiful fall colors across the mountain and the resort property. We arrived just before dinner and bedtime, and after quite a long drive (Thank you, Easy Xplorer for making our road trip easier!), we knew the kids needed to run off some of that pent-up energy. They made a beeline for the playground, croquet set and inviting green space. My husband and I got to take in the scenery and relaxing breeze while they wore themselves out. Win-win! I was pleasantly surprised to find that we’d only really need to leave the resort if we wanted to leave. They have a nice restaurant onsite, Charlie B’s and a lovely full-service spa and salon. Guests are given complimentary access to the Sports Club with Cybex Center, Racquetball/Squash/Tennis Courts, fitness studios, indoor and outdoor pools, and outdoor Jacuzzi.Stoweflake Mountain Resort hosted our family in one of their fully equipped townhouses. The main floor of the townhouse features a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room with fireplace, bathroom, and private furnished deck. We did use our portable highchair for our little one. The second floor of the main unit features a master suite with one king bed, fireplace, walk-in closet and luxurious bath with Jacuzzi bathtub and glass enclosed shower. The resort was kind enough to have a travel pack-n-play and soft blanket waiting for us. The second bedroom has two queen beds with full bath. If you are visiting with lots a family and friends, be sure to ask about the adjoining townhouses. We’d love to come back with our extended family and stay in two or more of these houses. It would make for an awesome getaway or family reunion.
The resort also has guestrooms in the main building. These hotel-style rooms are perfect for any family getaway. We visited the resort restaurant, Charlie B’s, for both dinner and breakfast. They had a great dinner menu, delicious hot breakfast buffet, and one of the best children’s menus I’ve seen in a while. We’re blessed with great eaters, and they had their choice of delicious plates to choose from. When we travel, we always choose destinations that are family-friendly. The best surprise about Stoweflake was the mom-friendly amenities. This mom right here took full advantage of them. My 60-minute massage with Candace was heavenly, only topped by the super long hot shower I enjoyed afterward. It was a unicorn of an afternoon! I could have kicked myself when I realized I forgot my bathing suit. The salon had an aqua solarium complete with a relaxing waterfall. Be sure to bring your bathing suit. The town of Stowe is well-known as a skier’s dream, but we were fortunate enough to visit during peak foliage season. To say it was breathtaking is an understatement. We took a scenic drive up to Smuggler’s Notch, pulled over with twenty other tourists to capture the sunset over the mountain, and took in the town’s sites throughout the day. We had a wonderful time at Stoweflake Mountain Resort, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
We’d like to thank Stoweflake Mountain Resort for hosting our family for two nights.
