When you think all-inclusive resort, I bet the white sandy beaches of the Caribbean come to mind. What about the Catskills? If you’re like me, you probably don’t know there is a gorgeous all-inclusive resort at the foot of the beautiful Catskill Mountains. Well, there is, and it is the perfect family getaway. We had a fantastic family vacation at Winter Clove Inn in Round Top, NY and I’m so excited to share our review with all of you.
We had the perfect set up in room 34 with a queen-sized bed and bathroom for us and an attached but separate room for the kids. They had so much fun sleeping in the twin over double bunk beds, and the Inn was kind enough to provide us with a pack-n-play for Lady B
Mom had a beautiful king suite all to herself.
Aside from a cruise many years ago, I’ve never vacationed in all-inclusive style. It is wonderful. The meals were delicious, and they even provided a picnic lunch on the day we decided to go into town. The Inn has highchairs for your littlest one. They don’t have kids cups though, so be sure to pack a sippy cup. Our server adjusted the place settings by removing the knives for my kids. He also filled their sippy cups and asked the kitchen to adjust their portions. They offered children’s menu options too.
For my Littles, it was hard for them not to spend most of their mealtimes staring out at the beautiful views.
I loved hearing stories from other guests at the Inn about how they visited as children, came back with their children, and hope to bring their grandchildren. I love the little invitations to sit and enjoy time as a family.
Being an all-inclusive resort, boardering the Catskill Wilderness Preserve allows Winter Clove Inn to offer a wide range of family fun, including:
- 3 delicious meals a day
- Bar/lounge area
- Heated indoor and outdoor pool
- 9 hole complimentary golf course
- Bowling ally and game room
- Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball courts
- Miles of hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing trails
- Complimentary cross country ski equipment
- Fitness center
- And much more…
We had a ton of fun hiking the trails to the waterfall and covered bridge.
They hosted a mid-week BBQ on the lawn, and it was so fun to watch the kids make friends and relax together. Winter Clove Inn is a screen-free destination, and I loved how my kids responded to that change. They picked out books to take the dinner table, and I found them “reading” all over the place.
We escaped into town during our visit and found a cute little chocolate shop with dinosaur-shaped chocolate pops.
We also took a long walk down to Saugerties Lighthouse. The view is stunning, and the historic lighthouse is very picturesque.
If you are looking for the perfect family getaway in the Catskill Mountains, Winter Clove Inn is the right choice.
We received a complimentary stay in exchange for this review. As always, all opinions are my own. You may have a different experience.
