There wasn’t a whole lot to do in Littleton, NC near Lake Gaston where we stayed. We were excited to find Sylvan Heights Bird Park in a town nearby.
This bird park is awesome! You and your Littles can wander through an “around the world” bird experience together.
We spent most of the morning in the bird encounter feeding parakeets and enjoying lots of feathered friends up close.
After we visited the treehouse for some bird watching and “tweet” identification, we headed back to the dinosaur-themed playground for a picnic.
The kids loved digging for fossils and climbing on all the fun structures in the peaceful, shaded area.
Feel free to pack a picnic and the stroller. It’s very stroller-friendly. You will have to go in through a side gate though.
There are cold drinks for purchase where you buy tickets and a small gift shop too.
