Are you looking for a picnic spot with an amazing view? Great Falls Park is the perfect place to unwrap a PB&J and peep the stunning falls. With easy parking and access, even the youngest visitor will love to explore this beautiful park.
We went on a frigid day in December, but my kiddos were still psyched to run off and explore. There are 3 different overlooks right by the parking lot. We check out all three and didn’t have any problems. We actually decided to break out our lunches at the overlook instead of the nearby picnic tables.
We have an Annual Park Pass, so we got in for free. Otherwise, it is $15 per car for the day. The visitor center is worth a look and there are tons of great trails all around the park too.
The next time you’re looking for a beautiful and fun family outing in Northern Virginia, be sure to add Great Falls Park to your list.
